The Cancer-fighting compounds in Acai Berries

Beyond the typical weight loss and physical energy boost results of supplements; Acai Berries were also discovered to be effective in the fight against the Big C or cancer. According to a University of Florida study, cultured human cells were destroyed by the antioxidants present in the Acai Berry.

Stephen Talcott, an assistant professor at the University, stated that the berries’ antioxidants destroyed up to 86% of the leukemia cells being tested. The chemical extracts from the berries were set up in various concentrations. Majority of the concentrations were able to destroy a remarkable percentage of the leukemia cells, with not less than 35% of the cells destroyed by the antioxidants.

In the world of medical research, Acai Berries are already considered to be among the highest sources of antioxidants.
